The well depth parameter acts as a correction for converting the measured water level to the actual water level from the bottom of the well.
The well diameter is used to calculate the well volume in liters.
Based on this value, the maximum measurable depth of the well is also calculated using ultrasonic sensors, taking into account their detection characteristic (beam width) for measurements without reflections.
Maximum measurable distance for a well with a diameter of 80 cm (beam width without reflections from the well walls):
Estimated measurement – HC-SR04
149.28 cm
Estimated measurement – JSN-SR04T
23.09 cm
Estimated measurement – VL53L1X (TOF400C)
78.50 cm
